I believe so I had an amazing experience when I went
No
They don't.
When I visited at the end of December, there was a sign on the door stating they closed early on the 23rd of December and did not re-open until the 26th. They were also closed on New Year's Day.
I eat dinner here every night when we visit Biloxi. If it's a weekend or for the week. Wouldn't eat supper anywhere else. They also serve an amazing breakfast. With all the shrimp boats sitting around, I'd find it hard to believe that food comes outta of a box. Great atmosphere!!
I don't know for sure but unless it is an ADA trained service animal, probably not.
Outside dinning area is approximately 20ft above water level. Gives you great views of Marina, Deer Island and Gulf beyond.
There is a dock behind McElroy that you can tie off to but I am not sure if it requires a boat slip. I would call them and ask
Pretty sure you can in Biloxi bot not in ocean springs
Pretty complete menu
Very nice staff. Beautiful scenery. Food is decent.
What an amazing place. The food is amazing and the employees are very nice. And it's on the water which makes it even better
Yesterday was our 10 yr wedding anniversary and we wanted to try this restaurant. Never again. Being from New Orleans I had high expectations for the shrimp and grits. Completely disappointed. I could not take more than one bite. It has fried grit patties and it supposed to be creamy it had a cream sauce when it’s supposed to be topped with barbecue shrimps or at least that’s how we do it. Also my husband ordered the Gulf Shrimp with the corn and sausage. The shrimps weren’t seasoned well at all and the corn was frozen at the core even after we let them know that it was frozen the second batch was also frozen. I decided to try something else on the menu because I wasn’t ready to give up on them because our server was a sweetheart. I ordered the popcorn shrimp was was better but I had lost my appetite. They didn’t charge me for the shrimp and grits and gave a 10% discount and we still left our server a tip. Unfortunately not my favorite place.
Walked in gave our name to reservations personSat down at outside bar. No hello, no hi ya doing, no can I get ya a drink.Staff seemed to be rude and unfriendly so we got up and left.Half Shell Ouster House is so much better. The menu blows McElroys away, the drink menu and the people and service are top notch.Glad for find a top notch experience across the street
Great food, great service and reasonably priced. Weather was good so we sat outside.
The food was not what was expected for the price. I didn't receive what I ordered but that was fixed right away. She suggested we make our orders fried because it was faster and broiled would take so long. We did not received what we thought we ordered. Completely disappointed with the food but the service was very good. Gratuity was automatically added to the bill, assume that's because their were 11 of us in our party.
What an amazing restaurant!!! The view is spectacular, the food is very good and tasty, the customer service is great... In general is a nice place to go and relax yourself. Recommend to seat outside looking around 6pm... Sunset... Watching the birds, boats... Is very good... Highly recommended!!!
Service and waitress were great, but the food was terrible. We had the shrimp and grits and the crab cake poboy. Shrimp was not fresh - tasted frozen and mushy. Crab cakes were watery and also mushy. Would not recommend. Best thing we ate were the french fries.
Great food, freshest seafood, except the catfish. Good view of a working marina and Deer island. For under 28 dollars I got the sampler and took it home for two more meals. My wife got steak. It also was delicious. We will be back. Great place for kids to. Indoor and outdoor seating.
Great staff. Variety of seafood to choose from. I got the charboiled oysters and a seafood platter with side gumbo. It was enough to share with another person!
McElroy's really does pride themselves on their seafood; however, they do not deliver an amazing experience for seafood enthusiasts but rather an acceptable one or an ever-so occasional great experience. The staff is nice, and the same can be said for the food. Really, it is a mixed bag of surprises each time I visit, but I can reliably say that their food won't displease you. Definitely worth a try, though not sure if worth returning regularly. And a side note - they have reallllllly good oysters sometimes.
Wasn't impressed with the food. Waitress was good. Great view of boats..
Was pretty excited to try this restaurant but ended up super disappointed. Our food was cold upon arrival they were under the warmer for way too long, items were forgotten even after they were asked for multiple times. Our sodas tasted weird, soda machine needs to be cleaned. Definitely wouldn’t return the next time we pass through Biloxi.
The staff was very friendly. The restaurant was clean. The food was excellent I had fried catfish and shrimp. Fried perfectly fish and shrimp was flavorful and juicy. I will highly recommend it.
Food was amazing! Definitely try the shrimp and grits...super yummy! Staff are super nice and keeping the place clean during covid.
For anyone looking for real seafood and excellent customer service then look no further!! They are located in the harbor and it’s on stilts so you can look out over the ocean while you enjoy your meal!! The food was fresh, made to specifications, the people are friendly, excellent customer and the view is amazing! But if you’re gonna eat outside, watch the birds!! They are not shy by any means! I know that sounds bad but honestly it is pretty awesome!
The seafood gumbo was outstanding, easily the best thing we had. Side salad was average. The Blackened Mahi was good, although the baked potato side was overcooked. The roast beef on the po' boy was cooked separately from the gravy, which was added to the sandwich after the meat. This made the meat a bit dry. All in all, a good place to eat. Prices are reasonable. The view of the gulf is nice.
I love the view from this great little restaraunt. The staff rock but we honestly visit for the food right?!! Well my friends it does not disappoint! My personal fave is the half and half option on the poboys. Get the crab and fried shrimp. You can thank me later😆
The food was great but wasn't amazing like some may think. It was definitely fresh as expected from most seafood restaurants on the gulf. They do have quite the selection of fish and will cook it any way you like (blackened, fried, or grilled) The view from the outdoor area definitely made this visit a lot more enjoyable. If you plan on going sit in the outdoor area on sunny day at a table closest to the water, you won't regret it. Also be warned of the various seagulls that will hover around waiting on an opportunity to eat any unattended leftovers. P. S. They are harmless and beautiful birds
Good size portions. The fried food was was fresh and the firecracker shrimp was good, salad lettuce was yellow. The men's bathroom smelled like old urine, the elevator smelled like b.o. and the patio floors needed a good pressure washing. This place has great potential with an awesome gulf view. P.S. watch out for the thieving seagulls, they like to take your fries off your plate. And keep your eyes open for dolphins in the bay. The wife enjoyed seeing that.
Breakfast was awesome!! The lunch was okay. The food had an old oil taste but I do recommend this restaurant. The hospitality from the waitress was outstanding.
Great Location & great view, high up over two stories. Food was delicious! Shrimp grits perfect spicy with a little kick not overpowering, Blackened Snapper juicy with nice spice. Everything was excellent!
Took 3 phone calls and several weeks to get being double-charged on my credit card straightened out, and they never even apologized, much less make an attempt to make amends. They did finally credit one charge back to my account, after weeks of blaming the credit card company. It was entirely a mistake on their part, which they refused to admit. It's an okay place, with just okay food, in a nice location, but if you can't trust the management to oversee fair, polite, and honest treatment of customers, I don't think it's worth it. Shame on McElroy's.
Being here from the coast I can be picky when it comes to seafood. However McElroy’s has some of the best seafood. Very fresh and great selection of items. I really enjoy the stuffed flounder and seafood platter. Great service and Savannah is a great server.
The staff is really nice. The wait is very long to receive food. The food was okay, not something I would I buy again though. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest. It has a nice view though.
Great seafood restaurant. Atmosphere is beautiful also. Reasonable prices. Will diffently come back again.
Catfish was Raw. Shrimp was Raw Tuna dip was good service was good. Low stars due to no compensation offered due to raw fish...in their Favor they offered to take it back but appetite was already destroyed after a mouthful of raw catfish.
Everything on the Fishermans Platter was delicious. Prices were reasonable!
I'll give the benefit of the pandemic BUT here are my issues...Waited 15 minutes to get order taken.Out of several beers and rum!Waited 1 hour before food came and it was like warm. Waitress didn't bring all the good but we just wanted to eat and get out.Told waitress she didn't bring all of the food and she said "oh" .Went to pay and guy asked me how was everything. I respond "ehh" and he just said "oh". I was also over charged for my gumbo. Changed $7.50 but it only should have been $3 because it was an add onto my meal. I told them but they didn't seem to care so just just paid it and got it off there.Doesn't seem anyone cares and waitresses kept blaming the cooks. Do me a favor and just close if you don't want to serve your customers.Save your money and go elsewhere.
